1. Who are you and what do you do?
We're Skybird Roofing, a team of roofing contractors focusing on wind and hail damage. We guide homeowners through the insurance process and complete repairs on their home, using technology to speed up every step throughout the process while providing excellent customer service.
2. What makes your business special?
At Skybird Roofing, we believe a roof is more than just shingles and nails – it's what keeps your loved ones safe and your home secure. What started as a small idea – to provide reliable, no-nonsense roofing – has grown into a mission to protect homes with craftsmanship you can count on.
We know that a roof isn't just another part of your house – it's what protects your family, your memories, and everything you've worked for. Too often, we've seen people struggle with unreliable repairs and quick fixes that don't last. That's why we set out to do things differently: with honesty, top-quality materials, and a commitment to getting the job done right the first time.
For us, roofing isn't just a business; it's a way to serve our community. Whether it's fixing storm damage, replacing an aging roof, or helping someone navigate the process for the first time, we take pride in being the team people can trust.
3. How did you find The Loading Dock?
We outgrew our home office, and as we're still a small business, The Loading Dock has been the perfect location for us to continue our company's growth. The space was recommended to us by a family friend who lived in Downtown Wake Forest for some time.
4. How has The Loading Dock helped your business?
Having a dedicated office space is huge for our large team. We do two to three trainings a week, so being able to reserve meeting rooms is a game-changer.
Being part of The Loading Dock community has been a huge advantage for Skybird Roofing. The energy, collaboration, and shared resources make it more than just a workspace - it's a hub for innovation and connection. Having a flexible space in downtown Wake Forest gives us the freedom to run our business efficiently while staying plugged into a network of entrepreneurs and professionals.
5. Have you connected with other TLD members?
We've become friends with many folks here and have networked with other businesses who work in complementary industries to roofing. Every day we meet another group or someone new, which is great for connecting with the community!
6. What are you looking for right now?
We live and breathe door-to-door sales. We're always looking for highly motivated, hungry individuals who want to make the money they deserve.
Right now, we're also looking to connect with real estate agents, property managers, and home inspectors who need a trusted roofing partner. Whether it's pre-sale inspections, repairs, or full roof replacements, we're here to help keep homes in top shape.
We'd also love to collaborate with marketing professionals who specialize in home services - helping us reach more homeowners who could benefit from our expertise. The Loading Dock has been an incredible space for building relationships, and we're always open to new partnerships that align with our commitment to quality and service.
7. What's your favorite part of The Loading Dock?
The outdoor terrace and the communal workspaces. There’s something about the buzz of people getting things done that keeps us motivated.
8. What's one goal for your business this year?
To build our digital footprint. We're focusing on expanding our online presence to reach more homeowners and showcase the quality and efficiency that sets Skybird Roofing apart from the competition.
9. Something unexpected about you?
Before getting into roofing, I actually considered a completely different career - something in outdoor adventure guiding. Turns out, I still get plenty of time in the elements, just with a tool belt instead of a backpack!
10. In your words, how would you describe The Loading Dock?
